    This version marks our ninth HD PACK. HD Packs aim to upgrade a group of OS models with custom assets, so they align with the HD art style.

    This HD Pack primarily targets the Secrets of the North and Making friends with My Arm quests

    The following changes are introduced:

    • The Phantom Muspah boss has been remastered

      • Several particle effects have also been added
      • Related bugs have also been fixed
    • Related areas have been remastered (including the Cave Horror dungeon)

      • Weiss, Weiss Mine, Weiss quest caves
      • Ghorrock dungeon
    • Several interfaces have been upgraded

    • Immersive atmospheres have been added

      • The 'fake' darkness effect during the Phantom Muspah encounter now utilizes real atmosphere, rather than an interface
    • Atmospheric snow particles with different intensities have been added to Weiss, the Ice Path, Trollweiss, and the God Wars entrance

      • The snow on White wolf mountain has also been fitted with the newer particle emitters
    • All salt fire pits now have lights and switch on or off depending on if you have built the pit or not

    • The animation of drawback arrows on bows has been improved

    • The Venator bow variants have been remastered based on the original Zaryte bow

    • The lightning effects of Imbued hearts have been remastered

    • Trollheim and Trollweiss have been restored

  • Soulsplit, Wrath and Leech effects during the Nex And Muspah encounters should now be working once again
  • NPCs no longer lag behind when force-teleporting to another tile, resolving problems during several encounters. These include: Panthom Muspah, The Nightmare, The Inferno (Jal-ImKot), Fishing Spots, Abyssal Demons (fixes hdos/issues#902 hdos/issues#98 hdos/issues#674)

  • Unsafe mode will no longer cause a Nullpointer crash under certain conditions
  • Chathead regressions have been fixed

  • The cupboard in Radimus Erkle's office is no longer absent, allowing you to progress the quest once again (fixes hdos/issues#1295)
  • The spinning pole outside the Falador barber shop has had its tweening improved slightly (fixes hdos/issues#1563)
    • We recognize it is still not perfect, but since the animation only has 4 frames there is only so much you can work with
  • The doors of the Falador partyroom have been fixed
  • The staircases of the Falador partyroom now have black squares below them to indicate they're going down
    • With the 15th anniversary it was decided to keep the museum underneath. Since a staircase going underground does not exist, this is a temporary solution for now
  • The slash attack animation no longer snaps back
  • You once again perform the correct animation whilst casting with a trident (fixes hdos/issues#1574)
  • Tempoross' colossal wave now changes the atmosphere even when the Skybox plugin is trying to override the area (fixes hdos/issues#1571 hdos/issues#1573)
  • The Imbued slayer helmet's chathead model for females is no longer using the male variant
  • The Avernic defender inventory icon has been changed slightly, so it fits inside the slot

  • Zul-andra's terrain has been remastered and shorelines have been added
    • Since HD Pack 1 was one of our first attempts at remastering an area, a lot has improved since then. The terrain (and atmosphere, part of the fog update) should now reflect a true remaster. Note that the adjacent zones may have buggy underwater. This will be fixed in time!
  • The crossbow animation has been improved
    • Modified to allow movement, and remove its stall when performing the animation and trying to move (fixes hdos/issues#1515)
    • Animation smoothing has been altered for the animation, re-introducing the iconic 'snap-back' or recoil when the crossbow fires, whilst retaining the smoothness
    • The Hunters' crossbow retains its stall in PvP scenario's, so that its behaviour matches oldschools'
  • Remastered some missing assets during the Tempoross encounter:
    • Debris that spawns in the ocean after a colossal wave
    • The damaged variant of the mast on the boat
  • Barbarian deposit boxes should now look like normal deposit boxes where they are not intended
    • The deposit box in Port Sarim has been remastered
    • The bank chest and deposit box in the Barbarian Outpost have been fixed (fixes hdos/issues#590 hdos/issues#591)
  • The Lumbridge basement rocks have been cleaned up to look more like the HD version
  • A certain variant of a wooden chest (one of which is used in Ardougne) has had its textures altered to match the open version
    • This was presumably an HD oversight since the textures are similar, but it has been corrected to what it was intended to be
  • White wolf mountain now uses snow particles
  • Waterbirth island has been restored
    • Now also has its snow interface removed, and the snow has been replaced with more uniform mild snow
  • Captain Bleemadge has been restored
  • All variants of Captain Barnaby are now fully restored
  • Fishing Trawler has been improved:
    • Altered the Atmosphere to reflect Fog changes
    • Now uses a skybox
    • MapFilter now works during the encounter

    • Fog has not been working correctly for years, ever since 6 view was added (let alone 12!).
      It was configured and designed for 3 view back in 2008.
      We finally sat down and figured out how to scale it to behave as it did back then at 3 view, and also scale well at higher view distances!
      So everyone can expect many areas to suddenly have a more detailed atmosphere to them!
